Cherry Professional is recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a manufacturing sector business with an established operational site in the Preston area. This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen reporting, support decision‑making, and drive site performance.
The role
- Extensive business partnering – working with the local leadership team to support operational stakeholders
- Lead month‑end close and deliver accurate, timely management reporting
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear insight and recommendations
- Support capex and spend tracking – driving decision support information
- Improve process, controls and management information
- Supporting the General Manager as the main finance head in the local management team
What we’re looking for
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or Qualified By Experience with strong, relevant experience
- Solid experience in a site‑based / operational finance role
- Confident communicator with the credibility to influence stakeholders
- Strong Excel and a proactive, improvement‑led mindset
- Must have manufacturing experience and ideally standard costing
