Job Title: Senior Engineering Geologist

Location: Harrogate

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a well-established ground investigation consultancy in Harrogate. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial and major infrastructure projects while taking on increased responsibility within a growing technical team.

Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering ground investigation projects
• Overseeing site investigations and supervising subcontractors
• Logging soil and rock to current industry standards
• Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
• Completing Phase 1 and Phase 2 geoenvironmental assessments
• Geotechnical analysis including slope stability and foundation recommendations
• Client liaison and project management responsibilities
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and geologists
• Managing projects from initial tender stage through to final delivery, combining technical reporting with site supervision and client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geology or a related discipline
• Strong experience within ground investigation consultancy
• Excellent geotechnical and geoenvironmental report writing skills
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Leadership and mentoring abilities
• Full UK driving licence
• Live within a commutable distance from the Harrogate office
