We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineer for foundation projects to help in the development of monopile T&I installations.

What will you do?

As our new Senior Project Engineer, you will lead and manage technical solutions for offshore construction activities for one of Cadeler windfarm foundation T&I projects. This also requires building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and ensuring the safety and efficiency of onshore and offshore construction operations during projects.

Your Main Tasks Include

  • Participate in the development of comprehensive project plans for Foundations (MP, TP, jackets, etc.) transport and installation within the engineering and construction activities.
  • Provide technical leadership for the transportation and installation of offshore foundations onboard Cadeler vessels, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Develop, manage or review conceptual studies, methods, task plans and risk assessment related to offshore foundations transport and installation.
  • Specify, source and manage technical delivery of key equipment (hammer, deck equipment, etc.) and key designs (grillages, temporary supports, etc.) for the foundations T&I projects – addressing the potential challenges and supported by skilled subcontractors.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and construction to ensure seamless project execution and best suited solutions.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide updates, address technical queries.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well‑being of personnel and compliance with industry safety standards.
  • Oversee quality control measures to ensure that transport and installation deliverables and operations meet high‑quality standards, including accurate project records.
  • Monitor delivery and support equipment implementation offshore and build a bridge between offshore and office teams.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements, optimizations, cost savings, and innovation in lifting equipment design and development.
  • Coach and mentor younger engineers to elevate excellence and skills in the project engineering team.

Competencies

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in mechanical, structural engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in project engineering for offshore construction projects, including development and technical management of installation equipment, structures and methods for windfarm foundations (jacket, monopiles, TP, etc.).
  • Proven experience in offshore operations for heavy structures, including involvement in transport and installation operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge in offshore construction operations, including experience in offshore execution and vessels mobilization.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., LOLER, EN 13001, DNV‑ST‑N001, DNVGL‑ST‑0378, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

This is an office‑based role, so we are looking for candidates who either live within a reasonable commuting distance to our offices or are ready to relocate immediately.
