Principal Civil Engineer
Our client is currently looking for a Principal Civil Engineer. The role will be based in the client’s Manchester office, requiring office presence two days a week with the remaining days working from home. It is a full‑time staff position covering multiple industries and several end clients, offering a salary commensurate with experience.
Candidates will be expected to have experience in all aspects of civil design, including:
- Drainage and external works
- Earthworks and site investigations
- Minor road and bridge design (desirable)
- Foundations & substructures
In addition, the client seeks candidates who can demonstrate a track record of successful project delivery within nuclear, public sector, contaminated land, ground improvement, highways, rail, defence, and life science domains.
The ideal candidate is a well‑rounded civil engineer with broad experience across multiple civil engineering disciplines, capable of ensuring project teams deliver civil designs to cost, schedule, and quality criteria set by the client and end clients. Candidates must have the right to work established within the UK.
