37 hours per week. 6 month fixed‑term contract to cover the substantive post-holder's upcoming absence at Broadmeadow Sports Centre.
£31,022 – £33,699 per annum (subject to 26/27 pay review).
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Duty Manager to join the team at Broadmeadow Sports Centre, part of Teignbridge Leisure. In this key role, you will take the lead in supervising the day‑to‑day operations of the centre, ensuring services run smoothly, safely and in line with established procedures. You will play an integral part in delivering an excellent customer experience.
You will hold a current First Aid at Work certificate and bring previous experience of leading or supervising a team – ideally within a leisure environment.

- Previously led a team effectively, ideally in a leisure environment.
- Remain patient, level‑headed and calm under pressure.
- Understand and enforce adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive and able to identify day‑to‑day problems and resolve them as appropriate.
- Able to manage competing workloads and work well under pressure.
