Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Colorectal Surgery, for a full-time permanent Band 6 Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective operational and strategic planning, development and management of the Colorectal surgical services to meet national waiting time targets.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Divisional Managers, Consultants, Nurses and Admin Teams to deliver Trust, Directorate and Team objectives.
• Monitor and manage healthcare targets, staff and basic budgets.
• Understand and report on complex performance information.
• Understand health service provision.

Qualifications

• Pro‑active, dynamic, experienced manager with excellent communication, organisational, administrative, waiting list and staff management skills.
• Proven track record of working in a demanding and fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrable experience of monitoring and managing healthcare targets and budgets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
