As the business grows, we’re looking for a Business Operations Manager to work closely with the Founders, to build the operational infrastructure, systems, and workflows that allow the team to operate more effectively and scale sustainably.

The Role

You’ll act as the operational “oil” within the business — ensuring things run smoothly, taking accountability for our systems and tools, and driving projects across tech, compliance, and supplier management.

We’re looking for someone highly organised, proactive, detail‑oriented, and execution‑focused. This is not a back‑office admin role. We want someone who spots gaps, takes ownership, and gets things over the line. This would be a great move for someone from a larger recruitment agency who’s ready to take on more project ownership in a smaller, faster‑moving environment.

The role offers significant scope for growth and ownership as the business continues to scale.

  • CRM selection and migration planning
  • Building integrations, automations and AI‑enabled operational workflows
  • Notion setup and optimisation
  • Updating and automating contracts, compliance processes, and documentation
  • Reviewing finance workflows & operational systems; with a view to reducing manual administration, improving visibility, and bringing more processes in‑house.

Business Operations

  • Own the CRM day‑to‑day
  • Maintain CRM quality and consistency
  • Support consultants with best‑practice usage
  • Improve workflows and system adoption
  • Keep up to date with new CRM functionality and improvements

Reporting & Insights

  • Own operational and business reporting
  • Build reporting dashboards and business insights
  • Use CRM data to support projects such as market insights & salary reports

Team Operations

  • Coordinate company meetings & presentations
  • Support onboarding for new team members

Finance & Administration

  • Monthly commission and expense management
  • Support operational finance workflows
  • Help reduce manual reconciliation and administrative inefficiencies
  • Manage supplier renewals and subscriptions
  • Track supplier ROI and operational effectiveness
  • Drive accountability with external partners
  • Review operational spend and identify cost‑saving opportunities

Team Events & Logistics

  • Research and coordinate quarterly socials and incentive trips
  • Organise team events and operational logistics
  • Research relevant industry events and training opportunities

About you…

Experience

  • Prior experience in operations in a recruitment agency (contract rec ops preferred)
  • Experience working across multiple systems, implementing operational improvements, and automations
  • Comfortable managing multiple moving priorities simultaneously

You’re likely someone who…

  • Enjoys working in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • Thinks about what others need before they ask
  • Gains satisfaction from enabling teams to perform at their best
  • Has a finisher mindset: naturally follows through and closes loops
  • Notices details others miss
  • Is practical, hands‑on, and execution‑focused
  • Brings energy and optimism to the team
