ANDBC Community Development – are seeking two reliable, proactive and community focused Beach Wardens to support the safe and welcoming operation of the Groomsport Inclusive beach loan scheme and environment throughout summer.


Contract & Working Hours


Contract Duration: 6 June 2026 – 29 August 2026
Working up to 12 hours per week rota based.
Standard Working Pattern:

  • Saturdays & Sundays, starting Saturday 06 June 2026
  • 11:00 – 17:00 (6 hours per day)
  • One staff member per shift

Additional July Holiday Service:Service Provided:

  • Wed 08, Thurs 09, Fri 10 July
  • Thurs 16, Fri 17, Sat 18, Sun 19 July

No Service:Sat 11 & Sun 12 July
Key Responsibilities

  • Beach equipment facilitation – managing specialist beach equipment hire, cancellations and returns.
  • Maintenance of facilities – ensuring changing areas, car parks, walkways, ramps and the wider beach environment remain clean, tidy and safe.
  • Reporting issues – identifying and escalating matters requiring attention.
  • Public interaction – responding to enquiries and handling complaints from members of the public in a polite, timely and professional manner.
  • Record keeping – maintaining accurate logs relating to equipment, incidents, cleaning and daily operations.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • At least six months' experience in face to face customer service or public facing work.
  • At least six months' experience carrying out cleaning duties.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records in a work environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding and appreciation of the needs of the public
  • Ability to use your own initiative.


Ideal Candidate
You'll be someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and communicates confidently with the public. You'll be dependable, approachable and able to work independently as the sole staff member on shift.
