We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly from groups currently under-represented, including people with disabilities, those from minority ethnic communities or from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
St Nicholas Primary School and ELC serve the communities of Broxburn in West Lothian and surrounding areas.
Our nursery (ELC) is at the heart of our establishment and we value the essential work that takes place in the Early Learning and Childcare Setting. It is in the ELC that children and families are supported to form an attachment that will support every child to reach their developmental and early learning goals.
St Nicholas ELC offers children a wide range of learning experiences. We manage continuous improvement through robust self-evaluation and implementation of the School Improvement Plan.
The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, providing high quality interactions and learning experiences. This position requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
