CalMac Ferries is looking for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to step into a pivotal 12-months fixed-term role supporting our people through an exciting period of transformation, including the delivery of new vessels and infrastructure. This is more than a communications job. You’ll take the lead in bringing CalMac’s internal communications strategy to life, ensuring critical messages reach the right people, at the right time, in the right way. From major transformation programmes to day-to-day operational updates, you’ll be at the heart of it all. Leading the planning and delivery of impactful communications across key programmes, functions, and projects Creating engaging, inspiring content that resonates across a diverse workforce Enhancing and evolving internal communication channel, finding smarter, better ways to connect Acting as a trusted partner to leaders and teams, building advocacy and trust Getting out across the network, meeting colleagues face-to-face and understanding what matters to them Championing CalMac’s brand voice, tone, and style internally Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in internal communications Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills A flair for different forms of creative communication Proven experience delivering communications strategies or plans At CalMac, we’re more than a ferry operator - we’re a lifeline for communities across Scotland’s west coast.
