Praxis Care is one of the largest charitable organisations operating across the island of Ireland, supporting children and adults living with mental ill health, learning disabilities, autism and dementia. As the organisation continues to strengthen it's procurement function, Praxis Care is seeking to appoint a Procurement Officer to join its growing procurement team.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in managing transactional procurement activity, supporting contract management, coordinating supplier relationships and ensuring procurement processes run smoothly across the organisation. The role offers significant variety and exposure. You will be involved in everything from contract tracking and invoice approvals to supplier sourcing, tender support and procurement administration. Your contribution will enable the Procurement Manager to focus on larger strategic projects as procurement expands into new areas of the organisation.

What we're looking for:
An understanding of both the procurement landscape and the specific requirements of the third sector would be ideal, although this is not essential. If you can demonstrate related experience, with a commitment to driving positive change and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply.
Essential criteria:
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent and 2 years experience in a similar role OR 3 years experience in a similar role.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in contract preparation or contract management
- Experience in supporting a procurement process
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Skills and competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse data and understand financial information
- IT skills
