Location: Ballynahinch

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: Monday Friday (7/8am 4/5pm) & Saturdays 8am 12pm

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to join our growing builders supplies business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in a builders merchants or similar trade supply environment who is looking to progress into a full management role within the next 2 years.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch, supporting across trade counter operations, sales, customer service, stock control, and yard operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the daily running of the branch
• Assisting customers on the trade counter
• Handling sales enquiries and processing orders
• Supporting yard operations and stock management
• Delivering excellent customer service to trade and retail customers
• Assisting with staff supervision and operational organisation
• Helping maintain health & safety standards across the site
• Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers

Requirements

• Previous experience within a builders merchants, building supplies, or similar trade environment is essential
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership potential with a desire to progress into management
• Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
