Overview
A busy and well-established local Belfast law firm is seeking a capable and proactive Paralegal to join their Litigation team. This is a fast-paced role offering exposure to both civil litigation and criminal law matters. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team with strong workflow and genuine long-term development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting solicitors with a busy caseload of litigation files from instruction through to conclusion
- Supporting criminal law matters including case preparation, file management, and court documentation
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court pleadings
- Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and third parties
- Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
- Managing files, deadlines, and general administrative support within a fast-moving environment
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal, ideally within litigation
- Exposure to criminal law would be highly advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
