Job Title:Electrician

Reporting To:Supervisor

Hours of Work: Mon Fri 07:30 16:30

Role Overview

This role will be responsible for the delivery of electrical maintenance, installation, inspection, testing & servicing across a wide range of sectors. The role will involve ensuring all works are carried outto required customer standards while upholding safety guidelines andcomplying withcodes and regulations.

Key Activities / Responsibilities:

  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of electrical systems and appliancesin accordance withthe current edition of IET Wiring Regulations to our customers properties.

  • Inspection and testing of new and existing electrical installation and the completion ofappropriate certificatesand reports in line with BS7671.

  • Carrying out electrical installation condition reports and Portable Appliance Testing

  • Identification and quantifying of electrical remedial works

  • Emergency Lighting Testing and reporting

  • Electrical installation and maintenance to domestic heating systems

  • To perform the jobin accordance withthe companys policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policy.

  • To perform any other duties as may bereasonably requiredfrom time-to-time.

Education / Experience:

  • Experienceoperatingwithin a face paced construction industry (a focus toward housing maintenance would be desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety issues

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services & Installation or equivalent

  • City & Guilds 18thEdition or equivalent

  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 or equivalent

  • CSR card or NVQ equivalent

  • Experience of working in domestic/residential and commercial sectors.

  • Comply withrequirements ofSparkSafeQualified Electrician

  • Asbestos Awareness

  • Access NI/Security Clearance

Skills/Competencies:

  • Good problem-solving skills and self-motivated

  • Flexibility to handle callouts on a rotational basis
