Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are recruiting for a Contract Maintenance Engineer to support a leading manufacturing business within a fast-paced, automated production environment.
This is a hands-on contract role focused on keeping machinery running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance, electrical fault finding, and breakdown support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns
- Complete planned preventative maintenance across production machinery
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on automated equipment
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Support continuous improvement activities across site
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Electrical bias with strong fault-finding ability
- Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hands-on maintenance experience with automated production machinery
- A proactive approach to reducing downtime and improving equipment performance
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working on automated manufacturing lines
- Strong breakdown response and fault diagnosis skills
- Previous contract maintenance experience
- Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
Benefits Include:
- £38.00 per hour
- Outside IR35
- 12-hour rotating days and nights
- Long-term contract opportunity
