Job Title: Finance Director
Location: Stockport (5 days onsite)
The Role:
You will lead the full finance function, ensuring financial integrity, disciplined planning, and forward-looking analysis. Working closely with the CEO and COO, you will influence high-level decisions and drive a finance agenda that supports sustainable, long-term growth.
You will be instrumental in aligning financial discipline with growth ambitions. Your work will directly influence strategy, profitability, and organisational performance. This is an opportunity to build a function that not only reports on the business but actively strengthens it.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end FP&A ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and performance analysis.
- Strengthening financial systems, controls, and reporting across the organisation.
- Full oversight of management accounts, month-end, cash flow, statutory reporting, and compliance.
- Leadership and development of the finance team, fostering a culture of clarity, accuracy, and accountability.
- Providing commercially grounded insight to senior stakeholders, supporting timely and informed decision-making.
- Leading the finance workstream in the implementation and integration of a new ERP system, ensuring alignment between operational processes and financial reporting requirements.
- Supporting strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and future investments with sound financial analysis.
- Applying financial leadership within a multi-site retail environment, ensuring consistency, visibility, and performance management across all locations.
Person Specification:
- Demonstrable FP&A depth; this is a core requirement.
- Proven leadership experience within a finance function.
- Strong command of financial reporting, controls, and governance.
- Experience overseeing financial aspects of ERP implementation or system migration.
