We partner with leading UK and international brands to transform how they use customer data to drive growth. Our platform, Horizon, is an AI-ready Customer Data Platform that structures data, generates intelligence and powers decision-making across marketing and customer journeys. Following recent investment, we are entering a critical phase of growth and scaling across product, delivery and commercial functions.

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Ideally Yorkshire-based, with a hybrid working model.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a part-time Finance Director (2–2.5 days per week) to provide executive-level financial leadership as we scale. This role will:

• Oversee the finance function
• Own financial planning, reporting and modelling
• Support the CEO and exec team in commercial decision-making
• Act as the primary financial interface with investors

This is a strategic finance role, not just a reporting role

Key Responsibilities

• Own and oversee the finance function
• Manage and support the Financial Controller
• Ensure robust financial processes, controls and governance
• Own and continuously evolve the financial growth model

Support strategic planning across:

• Revenue growth
• Hiring plans

Ensure alignment between:

• Delivery capability

This role connects strategy to financial reality

Board & Investor Reporting

• Attend all board meetings with investors

Present clear, concise financial updates including:

• Performance vs plan
• Forecasts
• Risks and opportunities
• Act as a credible, confident financial voice at board level
• Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting

Ensure reporting is:

• Accurate
• Timely
• Decision-focused

Ensure reporting is forward-looking and actionable

Commercial Decision Support

Partner with CEO and exec team to:

• Evaluate opportunities
• Understand profitability drivers

Cashflow & Financial Control

Maintain strong oversight of:

• Cashflow
• Working capital
• Ensure financial discipline as the business scales

Systems, Process & Scalability

• Ensure finance systems and processes are fit for scale utilizing the best latest tech / AI tools available
• Improve efficiency and automation where appropriate
• Support transition to a more structured, scalable operating model

What We’re Looking For

Experienced Finance Leader

• Proven experience as a Finance Director or equivalent in a scaling business
• Experience working with investors and board-level stakeholders

Commercially Focused

Strong understanding of:

• SaaS / services / hybrid models, Revenue dynamics, Margin and profitability
• Able to translate financial data into business insight

Strategic & Hands-On

Comfortable operating at both:

• Strategic level (board / planning)
• Detail level (supporting controller, reviewing numbers)

Able to present clearly to:

• CEO
• Exec team
• Wider Company
• Investors

Experience in:

• Technology, SaaS, data or services businesses
• Investor-backed or high-growth environments
