Job Description
This strategic Data Solutions Architect role focuses on bridging the gap between conceptual enterprise architecture and detailed component design within an Adobe-centred data ecosystem. You will define strategic data pipelines and repeatable patterns across Adobe platforms, including Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), ensuring seamless data integration and robust, scalable data architectures. Working closely with technical and enterprise architects, you will translate high-level architectural concepts into actionable designs and blueprints that development teams can implement, establishing foundational data architecture for key strategic programmes.
Responsibilities
- Bridge the gap between conceptual enterprise architecture and detailed component-level design within the Adobe-based data architecture.
- Define strategic data pipelines and repeatable patterns across the Adobe ecosystem, including Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
- Collaborate closely with UK-based technical architects and enterprise architects to design and refine end-to-end data flows.
- Ensure seamless data integration between Adobe platforms, SQL Server, data lakes and other enterprise data sources and targets.
- Establish and document data frequency requirements, ensuring that data is delivered at the right cadence to support business and technical needs.
- Develop robust, reusable data patterns that minimise the risk of breaking changes and support long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Create clear blueprints and reference architectures for data patterns to guide development teams in implementation.
- Translate high-level architectural concepts and principles into detailed, actionable technical designs and specifications.
- Support development teams by clarifying architectural decisions, resolving design questions and ensuring adherence to agreed patterns and standards.
- Contribute to the evolution of enterprise architecture by providing insights from a data architecture and Adobe platform perspective.
Essential Skills
- Proven Experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on designing end-to-end data solutions.
- Demonstrable background in enterprise architecture and component-level solution design.
- Deep understanding of Adobe products from a data architecture perspective, particularly Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
- Strong Experience in designing and implementing data integration solutions across complex ecosystems.
- Proficiency with SQL Server and related data modelling and integration concepts.
- Hands-on Experience working with data lake environments and large-scale data platforms.
- Ability to design strategic data pipelines and define repeatable, reusable data patterns.
- Strong collaboration skills, with Experience working alongside technical and enterprise architects.
- Ability to translate high-level architectural concepts into detailed, implementable technical designs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear architectural blueprints and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience contributing to or defining enterprise data standards and best practices.
- Background in designing data solutions within marketing technology or customer Experience platforms.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures and patterns such as event-driven design and streaming data pipelines.
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks related to data changes and breaking changes in complex environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to scalability and maintainability.
