About Product Management

As a Product Manager at Cloudflare, you are responsible for building products that improve the way the Internet works. You sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy, shaping high‑level product goals while also engaging in day‑to‑day activities such as pitching concepts to senior leadership, creating launch plans with marketing, working with designers on user research, prototyping features, iterating on specifications, analyzing usage data, and collaborating with engineers on implementation.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic and technical Senior Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and evolution of our DDoS Protection portfolio. Your mission is to seamlessly block volumetric attacks and ensure the availability and resilience of the world’s most critical infrastructure against increasingly sophisticated and massive‑scale disruptions. In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end roadmap for our mitigation engines, balancing automated, high‑performance defense with granular control required by global enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Own your space: prioritize and scope for a high‑performing engineering team focused on detecting large‑scale global volumetric attacks.
• Connect the pieces: act as the nerve center, coordinating engineering, program management, marketing, revenue, and partners to ensure timely and impactful product delivery.
• Excel across teams: collaborate with product managers across the company to prioritize systemic improvements for enterprise customers.
• Be customer‑obsessed: directly engage with customers, understand their use of our products, and bring insights back to the team to build a strong roadmap.
• Participate in pre‑sales and post‑sales calls with customers, sales, support, etc., to assist and understand all phases of the customer lifecycle.
• Be data driven: analyze data to quantify the impact of problems and opportunities in your space.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager delivering solutions in the cloud at scale for a technical audience.
• Customer focus: comfortable designing for enterprises while maintaining a positive experience for individuals and small businesses.
• Stakeholder management: experience managing complex escalations and leading high‑profile engagements, including delivering product updates to executive stakeholders and maintaining proactive communication during incidents.
• Technical acumen: ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them for customers through calls, blog posts, and reports; comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions with engineering teams.
• Preferred: professional experience in DDoS mitigation, network security, and/or general networking concepts.
