Application Security Architect

Onsite in Bracknell. Eligible for DV clearance. £65-70k per annum + benefits package.

We are seeking an experienced Security Application Architect to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of a secure Gateway capability for a strategic UK defence customer. This role combines architectural ownership, secure design governance, and operational assurance within a high‑security, mission‑critical environment. You'll shape technical direction, drive change, and ensure resilient, compliant solution delivery across engineering and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and design technical changes required to maintain and enhance Gateway capability
• Produce high‑quality design documentation in collaboration with the customer and Programme Manager
• Support solution governance and architectural integrity
• Ensure ongoing availability, resilience and security compliance
• Provide architectural guidance during troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Act as a key technical interface between engineering delivery and operational support teams

Technical Background

You will ideally be an experienced grade architect with a strong design and development background and proven experience with Gateway technologies.

• Willing to travel weekly within the South / Southwest region at short notice
