My client, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking a senior Quantitative Developer to join its London office.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly collaborative front-office environment, building critical systems that directly support trading, alpha generation, and risk management across a multi-asset platform.

In this role, you will operate as a key individual contributor, partnering closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and risk teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will be responsible for developing real-time P&L and risk systems, designing scalable quantitative infrastructure, and building tools that enable better investment decision-making across the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, robust technical solutions
  • Build and enhance tools supporting portfolio management, analytics, and decision‑making processes
  • Design and develop systems for quantitative pricing, risk calculations, and scenario analysis
  • Contribute to the development of real‑time analytics, including P&L and risk reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with analysts and trading teams to support the implementation of data‑driven signals across multiple asset classes
  • Ensure clear communication of technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Support and maintain critical analytics and reporting infrastructure within a live trading environment

Requirements

  • Strong Quantitative background
  • Strong programming skills in Python, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
  • Experience with SQL and working with large datasets
  • Strong academic background (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related)
  • Proven ability to work closely with business users to define and deliver technical solutions
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills

My client anticipates to pay a strong performer upwards of £400k year 1 total compensation package. As well as a market‑leading compensation package, they offer exceptional benefits including a top‑tier healthcare package, fully subsidised qualifications plus breakfast and lunch paid for each day.
