Overview
Business Manager - Defence Intelligence and AI role at Frazer-Nash Consultancy. This position focuses on growing a portfolio of profitable work with Defence Intelligence and research organisations, with a specific emphasis on DSTL as the major client for AI and Innovation. You will work with the Market Group Manager to develop strategies to grow the sector across our consultancy and Ventures lines of business, utilising the capabilities of our Capability team across all phases of the CADMID cycle. You will collaborate with our capability, Delivery and Strategy functions to identify capability and capacity growth areas and the development of potential new services for existing clients. The Business Manager is responsible for relationship management with our clients, acts as a sales and business development lead, manages bids and ensures we maintain relationships that allow us to deliver effectively while growing the business.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategy of the business.
- Work with existing technical delivery teams in the development of our services towards the needs of your clients.
- Oversee business development planning and associated activities.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with a network of clients associated with your sector.
- Identify, characterise and capture opportunities to deliver the business.
- Work with resource managers to identify, secure and maintain the skills and experience required of your clients.
Requirements
- Market knowledge of the sector, holding key relationships across the client base, supply chain and knowledge of our competitors.
- Significant commercial experience and business acumen having secured and led large scale commercial contracts for numerous clients within the sector client base and created supply chains with a diverse set of subcontractors.
- A highly effective communicator able to operate right across the business in support of whole company strategy.
