Group Director of Quality and Assurance
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior leader to drive strategic quality, safety, and risk management across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership, shaping and delivering the Trust’s quality and risk strategies.
- Lead the development and delivery of the Trust’s Quality Strategy and assurance framework, ensuring national standards, regulatory requirements and best practice are embedded.
- Deliver board‑level assurance and support the Group Chief Nurse in strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Oversee a high‑performing team responsible for patient safety, clinical governance, risk, legal services and health and safety.
- Lead ward‑to‑Board quality governance, ensuring effective incident reporting, investigation, learning and improvement systems.
- Maintain dashboards and triangulated intelligence to inform continuous improvement.
- Act as senior lead for CQC readiness and inspection.
- Work closely with Directors of Nursing to ensure consistent application of quality and assurance processes across hospital and community services.
- Promote a fair and just culture and provide visible clinical and professional leadership.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse, midwife, or other healthcare professional.
- Credibility, influence, and commitment to improving safety, experience and outcomes for patients and staff.
