Senior Manager – Oracle Finance Transformation

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager with deep expertise in Oracle Finance to lead major finance transformation initiatives within a large, modern organisation. You will shape and deliver large-scale Oracle programmes, oversee functional workstreams, and guide stakeholders through complex change.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading teams, and influencing strategic financial operations across a broad business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and manage large-scale Oracle Finance transformation projects from planning through to delivery.
  • Oversee multiple Finance workstreams, including General Ledger, Intercompany, Receivables, Payables, Payments, Collections, and Accounting Hub.
  • Ensure effective project governance, risk management, issue resolution, and scope control.

Functional Expertise

  • Provide expert Oracle ERP (Cloud or on-prem) functional guidance.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective financial solutions.
  • Support solution design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities.

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing specialist team.
  • Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, and operational teams.
  • Manage expectations, communication, and cross‑functional alignment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to internal capability building for Finance Transformation.
  • Promote ways of working aligned to best‑practice methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, etc.).

Skills & Experience Required

  • Extensive hands‑on experience delivering Oracle ERP Finance transformation programmes.
  • Deep functional knowledge across key Finance modules and end‑to‑end processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams across complex workstreams.
  • Understanding of solution architecture and ERP integrations with operational systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage senior‑level stakeholders.
  • Experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks in large Oracle deployments.
  • Experience working with one or more delivery methodologies.
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.

Desirable

  • Experience with Oracle AHCS / AFCS.
  • Oracle certifications.
  • Exposure to large‑scale transformation programmes in regulated or complex industries.

Working Environment

This position is based in London or Manchester, with flexibility to work in a hybrid model combining office, remote, and on‑site collaboration depending on project needs.
