Data Architect – London – Hybrid (1 day/week) – Up to £140k
We’re partnering with a leading utilities company undergoing a major data transformation and they’re hiring a Data Architect to take ownership of their enterprise data platform and shape the future of data across the business.
This is a pivotal, high-impact role where you’ll define and lead the end-to-end data architecture strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and guiding the build of a new enterprise data warehouse on GCP over the next two years.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and define the end-to-end data architecture and platform strategy
- Lead the design and build of a new enterprise data warehouse
- Create architecture diagrams, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and Data Governance to ensure alignment and delivery
- Act as the go-to authority for data architecture, balancing technical vision with business needs (this role will be ~20% hands‑on!)
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience building an enterprise data warehouse from scratch (not just maintaining or inheriting one)
- Strong architectural expertise across modern data stacks
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills – this is a highly visible, business-facing role
- Ability to operate at a strategic level while guiding delivery teams
Central London – 1 day in the office per week
