Job Description
Our client is a leading manufacturer seeking a senior design engineer to join their design team. The role oversees design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Oversee design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Develop and optimise engineering solutions, including detailed calculations, reports, and sketches.
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers, fostering professional development and ensuring alignment and integration of design efforts.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement processes and lean manufacturing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Candidate Attributes
- Proficiency in 3D modelling & 2D drawings with Autodesk Inventor.
- Mechanical design experience (5+ years ideally).
- Experience designing equipment for fabrication using steel.
- Occasional visits to sites for surveys and client meetings.
- Experience in finite element analysis.

- Design based qualification.
