Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking engineering leader to head up technical projects and engineering strategy across our hospital sites. This key role will shape long‑term engineering plans, ensure safe and efficient environments, and lead the delivery of major infrastructure and refurbishment projects.
This is a remote role with nationwide travel when required.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiyear engineering, asset and decarbonisation strategies.
- Manage major capital and engineering projects from scope to delivery.
- Oversee engineering operations including PPM, statutory compliance and reactive works.
- Provide technical expertise on HVAC, medical gases, electrical systems and water hygiene.
- Work closely with hospital leaders, engineers and contractors to ensure high‑quality, safe and compliant project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across the estate.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering background within the NHS, healthcare or highly regulated environments.
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale capital or engineering projects.
- Deep technical knowledge of hospital systems and statutory compliance (HTMs, CDM, H&S).
- Confident leader with excellent communication, planning and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Relevant qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree), AP status and safety/project certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, NEBOSH/IOSH).
