Insurance Director- Europe

Overview

We are actively looking for an insurance director to head up our European insurance team. You will work with the global team to manage all insurance policies for the businesses in Europe, including logistics, freight, maritime, and ports and terminals.

Responsibilities

Lead a team based in the UK and Germany, developing their skills and managing daily workloads. Manage contracts, build long‑term relationships with key stakeholders, and support the global team with local insurance agreements. Develop and implement the strategic direction for the European insurance team, ensuring key activities are managed and plans are executed.

Who We Are Looking For?

Key skills and experience include:

• Extensive experience in the insurance field, ideally within a large corporate organisation.
• Previous experience working in or for the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Strong team‑management experience and the ability to coach and lead a multicultural team.
• An inquisitive mind and a strong desire to question yearly renewals to develop new ways of working.
• A relationship builder who is comfortable managing complex relationships and providing mutually beneficial solutions.
• An analytical mind who can forensically interrogate contracts and provide commentary to realise benefits for the organisation.
