Our Client, a respected broker within the insurance industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a hands‑on role with one direct report and a strong focus on developing and maintaining cutting‑edge applications, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic projects that shape the future of their technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine in‑house applications primarily using Visual Basic within a Visual Studio environment.
- Maintain and administer SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Analyze data and generate robust reports to support business decision‑making.
- Collaborate with third‑party software vendors on integration projects.
- Assist team members by providing guidance, training, and technical support.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of software processes and standards.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.
- Proven expertise in developing applications using Visual Basic in a Visual Studio environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server database management and reporting.
- Experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience working within or alongside the insurance industry, particularly Lloyd's or London insurance market operations.
