Senior Product Manager

You will be joining a cross-functional team that sits at the heart of Bauer Media’s operations. We are a small, focused group made up of Engineering, UX & Service Design, Sales, and Planning & Analytics all working together to make the platform better for the people who depend on it every day.

Engineering is your closest partner: you share ownership of pace and quality. UX & Service Design translate the problems you uncover into solutions that feel obvious to the people using them. Sales brings real-world feedback on what is landing and what is still broken. Planning & Analytics are fellow value stream leads you will keep the broader platform joined up together.

The teams who use this platform every day are your north star. Your job is to understand their work deeply, the friction, the workarounds, the manual fixes and to seek out continuous improvement, fast. You will build trust through early wins, stay aligned with the wider platform value stream leads, and make visible progress the whole team can see.

This is a fast-moving, high-expectation environment. The platform is growing and the people relying on it need to feel and see improvement. Discovery is key, but so is showing results quickly. You will earn trust through listening, then delivering and keep earning it by shipping improvements that genuinely change how people work. If you have operated in a startup or high-pressure setting where early momentum matters, this will feel familiar. The pace is real. So is the opportunity to make a visible difference.

Your role

You will own discovery and delivery, end to end. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Together with Service Design, map how teams actually work end to end not just what they describe. Surface the hidden steps, the workarounds, the manual fixes.
• Translate insight into a prioritised backlog. Partner closely with engineering to ship fast, test assumptions, and iterate based on real usage not opinions.
• Navigate stakeholders across value streams working across planning, analytics and insights with competing priorities. Hold your corner for users while keeping the broader platform coherent. This takes both diplomatic skill and the confidence to push back when it matters.
• Define what success looks like and track it: adoption, time-to-schedule, accuracy, confidence. Make progress visible to the whole team, not just to leadership.

The Skills you will bring

• Workflow analysis: you can map how people actually work, not just how they describe it finding the gap between stated process and daily reality, and starting there.
• Stakeholder navigation: you can hold a position for your users while bringing others along. Diplomatic, but you know when to hold firm.
• Delivery pace: you have worked in environments where early momentum matters. You know how to ship something real and fast, and how to learn from it quickly.
• Value articulation: you know how to describe what value means for your customer. You can sell ideas at any level of validation using a mix of business cases, prototypes, and storytelling.
• Team impact: you measure your success by what the team achieves together, not what you produced alone. You unlock the people around you.

Working Pattern/Location

This is a hybrid role working from our Manchester office - travel to London will be required from time to time.
