Job Description
We are actively looking for an insurance director to head up our European insurance team. The role involves working with the global team to manage all insurance policies for businesses across Europe, including logistics, freight, maritime, ports, and terminals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage insurance contracts and build long‑term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the global team and support their work with global insurance companies.
- Lead a multicultural team based in the UK and Germany, overseeing daily workload and providing coaching.
- Develop and implement the strategic direction for the European insurance team.
- Ensure all agreements are fit for the European region and aligned with global plans.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the insurance field, ideally within a large corporate organisation.
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong team‑management skills with the ability to coach and lead a multicultural team.
- Analytical mindset capable of interrogating contracts and providing benefit‑realising commentary.
- Relationship‑building skills and the ability to manage complex relationships.
- Curiosity and drive to challenge yearly renewals and develop innovative ways of working.
