Job summary
- The Deputy Head of Finance has a primary responsibility to coordinate and functionally supervise the preparation of the Branch’s accounting, internal and external financial reporting and analysis (e.g. liquidity reporting), regulatory reporting (UK/FR/EU) and adherence to control framework and associated reporting;
- Covers for the Head of Finance when absent. Tax-related subjects: Monitors and follows VAT calculation and payments up; Assists with Corporation Tax/Banking Surcharge preparation; Assists with ad‑hoc queries/calculation (e.g. Bank Levy, CATA).
- Project work: Functional specifications to enhance/improve processes; Assists with tests and homologation processes; Participates to transversal and/or HO projects; Assists with ad hoc requests relating to IT/projects for the Branch.
Required skills/experience
- 5 -10 years Finance Industry experience
- Experience working for a European Bank
- Good knowledge of Accounting / Financial control / Financial reporting
- Ability or experience to deputise for the Head of Finance on times of absence.
- Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- French – Desirable
