A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its London office. This role offers the opportunity to work within a globally integrated team on a broad range of complex and high‑value corporate transactions.

The Team

The firm’s Corporate practice advises on a full spectrum of public and private M&A matters, frequently operating across multiple jurisdictions. The team is closely connected with the firm’s international network, supporting clients on cross‑border deals and working alongside colleagues globally to deliver seamless advice.

The practice covers the entire deal lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements and general corporate advisory work, often for sophisticated and internationally active clients.

The Role

The successful candidate will play an active role across transactions from initial structuring through to completion. The position offers significant exposure to clients and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to deal execution within a fast‑paced environment.

Typical work will include advising on:

  • Share and asset acquisitions and disposals
  • Joint ventures and shareholder arrangements
  • General corporate advisory matters
  • Cross‑border transactions involving multiple stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

The Associate will:

  • Advise on transaction structures and key commercial terms
  • Support and manage due diligence processes, working closely with specialist teams
  • Draft and negotiate principal transaction documents
  • Lead on disclosure processes and completion mechanics
  • Prepare and advise on preliminary documentation, including NDAs, exclusivity agreements and term sheets
  • Provide ongoing corporate advice to a range of clients
  • Manage client relationships and deliver a consistently high standard of service
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and the broader growth of the practice
  • Stay up to date with relevant legal and regulatory developments

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a broad corporate M&A role
  • Strong technical grounding in corporate law and transaction execution
  • Confidence in drafting and negotiating key legal documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative mindset
  • An interest in developing client relationships and contributing to practice growth

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background
  • Qualified lawyer in England & Wales or an overseas‑qualified lawyer with relevant London market experience
