Head of Department for Geography, History and Politics - 1 FTE

Salary: £41,975 to £54,714 per annum (Full Time / Term Time / Permanent).

Management Allowance: £3,099 inclusive within Salary (currently under review). 4.5 hours per week remission time.

Start date: 18th August 2026.

Closing date: 12pm on 20th May 2026. Interview date: 22nd May 2026. Reference: 2026-28.

• Deliver high‑quality, impactful teaching resulting in strong student outcomes.
• Motivate students and bring complex ideas to life.
• Create a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
• Lead the Department of Geography, History and Politics and support staff development.
• Maintain strong relationships between staff and students and a commitment to academic excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in teaching Geography and potential to teach History or Politics.
• Leadership experience in an academic setting.
