TCS Engineer
Service area: Hertfordshire and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 36.25hrs/pw
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain and repair dispensing and dosing equipment, such as dishwashers and laundry dosing units, various water and non‑water‑fed chemical dispensing units, and enzyme dosing units.
- Unpack and, when required, assemble equipment and perform servicing and maintenance on behalf of clients.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that equipment operates according to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults, and organise repairs as needed.
- Raise and submit quotes for parts to be ordered, ensuring all part numbers align with technical manuals and confirming receipt of parts.
- Return parts under warranty to the supplier; return unused parts to stores at the conclusion of a visit.
- Complete electronic job sheets after each site visit.
- Maintain regular communication with the Technical Customer Services Team.
- Maintain and check van stock.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- IT literate (MS Office)
- Competent working on electrical systems, including reading diagrams, and skilled in basic plumbing.
- 2‑5 years of engineering experience in dispensing or dosing equipment (or similar) highly desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Commercial acumen.
- Commitment to continuous development of product knowledge.
- Customer‑focused mindset.
- Organised and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Forward thinking and agile work ability under demanding circumstances.
