Technical Project Manager - Mainframe Modernnisation

Technical Program Manager | Mainframe Modernisation | Retail Supply Chain

6–12 month contract | Hybrid (2 days onsite, Coventry)

Lead a large-scale mainframe modernisation programme within a complex retail supply chain environment. You’ll own end-to-end delivery across legacy transformation, working closely with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to migrate critical systems with minimal disruption.

Key focus:

• Drive roadmap, milestones, and delivery strategy across multi-vendor teams
• Lead migration, re-platforming, and decommissioning of legacy mainframe systems
• Oversee supply chain domains: WMS, inventory, distribution, fulfilment
• Align delivery with trading cycles and peak operational periods
• Manage risks, dependencies, governance, and executive reporting
• Ensure scalable, cloud-aligned target architectures (AWS/Azure exposure beneficial)

What matters:

• Proven track record in mainframe or legacy transformation programmes
• Strong retail supply chain and logistics exposure
• Experience across Agile environments and complex delivery ecosystems

Strong day rate on offer for the right profile.
