Shift Pattern

This post is on‑call.

Location

Permanent post based with the Royal Hospital for Children.

Role

We are looking for a Consultant Congenital Cardiac Surgeon to join a team of three cardiac surgeons providing national congenital cardiac surgical services for Scotland. The role may be either a locum or substantive position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide national congenital cardiac surgical services across Scotland.
  • Operate on a broad range of paediatric and adult congenital heart cases.

Qualifications

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council and a licence to practice.
  • Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (FRCS‑CTh) or equivalent.
  • Broad training and operating experience in both paediatric and adult congenital heart surgery.
