Technical Sales Manager
I'm working with a well-established, manufacturing business to appoint a commercially driven Technical Sales Manager. This is a pivotal role focused on both growing strategic customer relationships and winning new business within core industrial sectors.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of major accounts while actively identifying and securing new opportunities. The role offers a balanced mix of strategic account management developing new prospects in a fast‑paced, professional target‑led environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic customer accounts
- Build strong, long‑term client relationships and drive account growth
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within target markets
- Maintain a healthy pipeline and deliver against revenue targets
- Collaborate with global sales teams to support account expansion
- Deliver customer presentations, proposals, and tailored solutions
- Provide accurate forecasting and maintain CRM records
- Represent the business at client meetings and industry events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical or engineering and manufacturing led sales
- Strong track record in both nurturing existing accounts and exploring new opportunities
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions
- Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills
- Self‑motivated, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Experience within industrial, OEM, or engineered solutions environments would be advantageous
