Infrastructure projects don't just need data — they need direction. They need someone who understands the bigger picture, connects multiple disciplines, and helps clients turn complex requirements into clear, deliverable solutions. At Lucion Infrastructure, we specialise in providing integrated survey services to the highways and utilities sectors. From asbestos and structural investigations to utilities and topographical surveys, our work supports major schemes across the UK. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Technical Director (Infrastructure) to help shape the next phase of that journey. This is a senior, client‑facing role focused on growth, leadership, and technical excellence – suited to someone who can build relationships, guide multidisciplinary teams, and bring clarity to complex infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)

  • Work closely with the Business Unit Director to grow and diversify the Infrastructure division
  • Build on existing client relationships while developing new opportunities
  • Act as a key client contact – taking briefs, shaping proposals, and structuring project delivery
  • Coordinate input from multiple Lucion business units to create integrated, multi‑disciplinary solutions
  • Provide consultancy services, adding interpretive insight to survey data and reports
  • Support the development of internal systems to improve efficiency and delivery
  • Mentor and develop team members across the business

In short: shaping projects from concept to delivery, while driving growth and maintaining technical standards across the board.

About You (Strategic, Technical, Relationship‑Focused)

  • Hold a construction‑related degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Have significant experience in the construction or infrastructure sector at a senior level
  • Understand National Highways requirements and how large schemes operate
  • Be familiar with multiple survey disciplines and how they integrate on major projects
  • Have strong contractual awareness and commercial understanding
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Take a proactive, solutions‑focused approach to business growth and project delivery

You’re credible, commercially aware, and someone clients trust to guide complex decisions.

What You’ll Get in Return (Because Good Leadership Deserves Strong Support)

  • Basic salary of £55,000 – £65,000, depending on experience
  • Techscheme vouchers towards commuting or home tech
  • Health‑care cash plan – help with everyday healthcare costs
  • Enhanced family leave – because life happens
  • Option to buy extra holiday – time off actually matters
  • Training and development – keep your leadership and technical skills moving forward
  • Flexible working, supported by a business that genuinely cares
  • Car allowance

As part of our commitment to safety, trust, and doing things properly, the successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS check before joining the business. Lucion. Purpose‑led. People‑focused. Getting it right – every project, every time.
