EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience & skills within the MS-Azure technical area.
- Minimum of five years of experience within at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical architecture/solution design, application development, middleware, database management, information security or operations.
- Has previously performed a Solution Designer role in a complex enterprise environment.
- Good understanding of current technologies & trends, along with the practical application of these technologies to new, evolving business & operating models.
- Understands agile methods & processes. Capability to support agile project teams by providing advice & guidance on opportunities, impact & risks, taking account of technical & architectural debt.
KNOWLEDGE
- Familiarity with information management practices, agile manifesto, system development life cycle management, IT services management, infrastructure, operations, information security & ITIL frameworks.
- Proven ability to understand how business & technology interacts, and to document appropriate solutions at high & low levels depending on requirements.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems: SaaS, Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices & event-driven IT.
- Expertise in designing & delivering in an MS-Azure technical environment.
- Excellent understanding of application development methodologies, infrastructure & network architecture. Demonstrate exposure to new & emerging technologies as well as a range of processing environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation & negotiation.
- Strong leadership & influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical & technical skills.
- Data processing, analysis & design for best practice data management.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, combined with planning & organizational skills.
