Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver end‑to‑end solutions in the form of cloud‑native microservices, leveraging the latest technologies and best industry practices.
  • Use domain‑modelling techniques to build best‑in‑class business products.
  • Structure software for clarity, testability, and evolution.
  • Build solutions that avoid single points of failure using scalable architectural patterns.
  • Develop secure code to protect customers and the firm from malicious actors.
  • Investigate and fix issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure releases occur with zero downtime for end users.
  • Write and read data in ways optimized for business needs.
  • Monitor performance and apply appropriate diagnostics.
  • Maintain system reliability and operational ease.
  • Continuously update technologies and patterns.
  • Support products through the entire lifecycle, including production and incident management.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience.
  • Recent hands‑on professional experience as a back‑end software engineer.
  • Experience coding with a recent version of Java.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective tests (unit, component, integration, end‑to‑end, performance).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, RESTful APIs and web technologies.
  • Knowledge of messaging frameworks.
  • Seasoned with operating, supporting, and securing mission‑critical software applications.
  • Understanding of different kinds of data stores, including relational data stores.
  • Coaching team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns for high‑quality maintainable solutions.
  • Managing stakeholders and effectively prioritizing work across multiple streams.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Seasoned with cloud‑native microservices architecture.
  • Proficient with AWS cloud technologies.
