Site Manager – Heat Pump Installation Project (Live Hospital Environment)

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee an upcoming mechanical installation project within a live hospital environment in London.
The project is due to commence in July and is expected to run for approximately six months. The works involve the installation of a heat pump system, requiring strong coordination skills, a proactive approach to health & safety, and experience working within sensitive, operational healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all on‑site activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure works are carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and hospital protocols
- Oversee subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Maintain programme and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Liaise with the client, consultants, and hospital representatives
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
- Ensure quality standards and documentation requirements are met
- Manage logistics and minimise disruption within the live hospital environment
- Report progress, issues, and risks to the project team
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on M&E or HVAC projects
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work certification
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage programme, safety, and subcontractors effectively
Desirable
- Previous NHS project experience
- Mechanical or building services background / Experience with heat pumps
- Temporary works or AP qualifications
