Take the lead, progressing the design, development, design proving, test etc as part of a multi‑disciplined team.
Principal Systems Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to £80k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership of defined work packages
- Leading and mentoring project team members
- Managing Requirements throughout the Engineering Lifecycle
- Proving Technical inputs to bidding activities
- Integration and production qualification activities
- Taking prototypes and developing them into products
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree, HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- Familiar with systems engineering best practice
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working within Verification and Validation
- Proven experience with electrical design and product development
- Experience with combat systems is desirable
- Competence with requirements management tools such as DOORs NG
- Competence with SYSML management tools such as Rhapsody is preferred
