- As the Front Office & Risk BA Team lead you will be responsible for:
- Stakeholder management across Risk and Front Office to ensure delivery success across the Change portfolio and acting as a representative and key partner for the business for TEC.
- Acting as a close partner to lead the Risk portfolio with Change and business leads, actively challenging stakeholders, securing optimal resourcing through forward planning, and challenging project deliveries and understanding the wider impact to Technology.
- Ensuring leadership of the Risk team, managing both consultants and permanent members of staff, proactively managing consultants, and supporting the team with problem solving, raising any issues in a timely manner.
- Managing hiring appropriate resources, contract renewals and resource governance, ensuring consultants meet SLAs, and providing MI/KPIs for your BA pillar.
- Supporting both Project Managers and business partners through SME roles and problem solving, acting as an advisor on appropriate TEC solutions with a solid understanding of the vendor landscape.
- Proactively engaging with the CHG project portfolio manager to ensure that Risk initiatives are resourced with staff having the appropriate skillsets, ensuring the right people are in the right roles with a strong focus on building future capabilities.
- Providing subject matter expertise and knowledge on Risk processes and systems to team members and the Technology department, and acting as a contact point for Risk stakeholders when seeking TEC input on initiatives or serious issues.
- Owning problem solving for the team and resolving complex issues with resources and senior stakeholders independently.
- Maintaining a strong proactive approach with senior technology management communications and relationships, delivering concise information to allow accurate and informed decision making.
- Acting as a trusted advisor of Technology management as well as senior business stakeholders.
- Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, e.g., presenting solutions to other parts of the organisation.
- Owning risks, issues and dependencies across resources and programme of work for Risk, ensuring proactive actions to avoid escalations.
- The role also requires the Team Lead to work as a Business Analyst and lead across challenging and complex projects for respective stakeholders. This includes:
- Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents.
- Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development lifecycle, including:
- Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to the business users, incorporating illustrative calculations using production data.
- Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases.
- Performing system/integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
- Compiling and presenting test results.
- Completing project/work-stream status reports.
- Escalating issues/risks to project/line management.

Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the Risk domain.
- A strong delivery track record and ownership of Risk initiatives.
- Experience managing a team of technology professionals within a top tier bank or consultancy.
- Experience delivering large scale projects, preferably with an international scope.
- Confidence and gravitas required to interact with senior managers within the bank.
- Business analysis experience working for a top tier bank or consultancy.
- A thorough understanding of the project life cycle and experience compiling proposal, scope, requirements and testing documents.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles.
- Excellent product knowledge across Bonds, Derivatives, Credit, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits.
- Understanding of how products are booked and handled from a Risk perspective.
- Knowledge of PL, Risk and Market Data.
- In depth knowledge of the trade lifecycle and relevant market events for a product.
- Understanding of Credit Risk; credit limits, CSA’s, exposure calculations e.g. PFE, collateral processes.
- Strong knowledge of FO booking systems and interfaces with Risk & Finance platforms.
- Experience with Credit Risk platforms, preferably Markit Analytics.
- Ability to work under pressure, both autonomously and within a team.
- Understanding of revaluation rate curve construction, trade pricing.
- Strong TEC skills with SQL queries and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to build positive collaborative relationships with Technology, Change Managers and Business stakeholders.
