Site Manager (Carpentry & Joinery Background)
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: London & Home Counties
We are looking for a hands‑on Site Manager with a strong carpentry and joinery background to oversee the delivery and installation of bespoke joinery packages on high‑end projects.
This role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to lead installation teams to deliver work to exceptional standards across hospitality, commercial, and high‑end residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate joinery installation teams on site
- Ensure works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme
- Act as main on‑site contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Resolve on‑site issues and manage snagging through to completion
- Maintain strong working relationships across all site stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements, RAMS, and site procedures
Essential Requirements
- 5+ years' experience on Tier 1 contractor projects
- Background in carpentry/joinery with hands‑on site knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractors and installation teams
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of digital reporting and snagging tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS Gold Card
Desirable
- NVQ Level 4 (or working towards Level 6‑7 in Construction Management)
- First Aid at Work certificate
- Fire Marshal training
