Site Manager (Carpentry & Joinery Background)

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: London & Home Counties

We are looking for a hands‑on Site Manager with a strong carpentry and joinery background to oversee the delivery and installation of bespoke joinery packages on high‑end projects.

This role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to lead installation teams to deliver work to exceptional standards across hospitality, commercial, and high‑end residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate joinery installation teams on site
  • Ensure works are delivered to specification, quality standards, and programme
  • Act as main on‑site contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Resolve on‑site issues and manage snagging through to completion
  • Maintain strong working relationships across all site stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements, RAMS, and site procedures

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience on Tier 1 contractor projects
  • Background in carpentry/joinery with hands‑on site knowledge
  • Experience managing subcontractors and installation teams
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of digital reporting and snagging tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS Gold Card

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 4 (or working towards Level 6‑7 in Construction Management)
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Fire Marshal training
