The University of Bath is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to take a leading role in the delivery of student data reporting for funding and statutory purposes.
We are looking for someone with hands on experience of Student Loans Company (SLC) reporting who is ready to manage existing SLC reporting and to play a central part in the University’s preparation for, and ongoing delivery of, the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE). Alongside this, you will work flexibly as part of a specialist team responsible for key statutory student data returns, including the HESA Student return.
Working within Academic Registry, you will act as the University’s operational lead for SLC reporting, ensuring that student and course data is accurate, timely and compliant with externally defined requirements. You will take ownership of SLC related activity across the student lifecycle, working closely with colleagues in Academic Registry and Student Finance to resolve issues and maintain confidence in institutional data.
A major focus of the role will be supporting the University’s implementation of the Lifelong Learning Entitlement, translating policy, guidance and technical specifications into effective operational practice. This will involve co-creating processes, advising colleagues, and supporting institutional readiness through changing funding environment.
While SLC and LLE will be your primary areas of focus, you will also contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of wider statutory student data returns, adapting to shifting priorities and regulatory change and supporting colleagues with data interpretation and assurance work.
We are looking for someone who brings practical experience along with specialist knowledge, and who is confident working in a regulated, deadline driven environment.
Experience of supporting regulatory change, contributing to HESA or other statutory returns, or working with emerging funding models would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing 15 June 2026.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Jon Davies, Assistant Registrar (Student Data & Statutory Reporting) at jmd49@bath.ac.uk or Ellie Timms, Student Fees Manager at adsert@bath.ac.uk.
