Class 2 LGV Driver / TransporterThe Class 2 LGV Driver / Transporter is responsible for transport and logistics operations for an industry-leading manufacturer, ensuring the safe and timely movement of materials and products. The role also supports product testing and on-site logistics activities. Varied working pattern, driver will need to be flexible on working hours and overnight stays will be required at least twice per month.Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle & Compliance Ensure vehicle is roadworthy, fully maintained, and compliant with UK legal and company standardsComplete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptlyMaintain compliance with MOT, fleet, and site safety requirementsFollow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPEReport hazards or incidents promptly Transport & Logistics Plan efficient routes to optimise time, cost, and fuel usageCarry out deliveries, collections, and returns between suppliers, customers, and internal teamsSupervise and assist with safe loading/unloading in line with regulationsEnsure goods are secure, labelled, and protected during transport Documentation Maintain accurate logbooks, mileage records, and delivery documentationComplete paperwork and update internal systems as required Operational Support Assist with pre- and post-testing activities (cleaning, packing, movement of products)Liaise with Line Manager and Product Quality Engineer to support schedulesReport and follow up on quality issues or non-conformancesIdentify opportunities for process and workflow improvements Essential Skills & Experience Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) licence with CPCADR certification (dangerous goods)Minimum 3 years’ experience as a professional driverProduction Experience (desirable)Valid Forklift Licence (desirable)Knowledge of ISO 9001 (desirable) Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitudeGood communication and interpersonal skillsPhysically capable of manual handling tasksGood numeracy and IT skills (Microsoft Office)…
