12 Month FTC Assistant Company Secretary with a Leading Global Financial Services Platform


About the Role:


An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Company Secretary to join the Legal team of a leading alternative investment manager on a 12 month FTC maternity cover basis. This is a broad and engaging role, combining company secretarial, regulatory compliance, and project management responsibilities across a diverse portfolio of group and affiliated entities.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Act as UK Company Secretary for multiple groups and affiliated entities
  • Manage Companies House filings, ensuring timely statutory updates and ongoing compliance
  • Prepare board and committee packs, agendas, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate and organise board and committee meetings
  • Draft high-quality, accurate minutes, including those relating to complex board discussions and regulatory and compliance matters
  • Oversee filings for the Register of Overseas Entities
  • Provide governance oversight and act as a board observer for selected groups and affiliated entities, including Entity Management and TCSP services
  • Support the onboarding of new entities for Trust or Company Service Provider (TCSP) services
  • Assist with the ongoing administration of entities within the group, including due diligence and project-related work
  • Manage the Group’s due diligence process for external service providers
  • Support and lead ad hoc projects as required


Experience and Qualifications Required:


  • Previous experience in UK company secretarial work (formal qualification not essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of Companies House and HMRC filings and systems
  • Good understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
  • Familiarity with the HM Land Registry Portal
  • Experience using Dasseti
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven project management and organisational capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and minuting board and committee meetings
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
