Key Areas of Responsibility
- Execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of IQVIA Consumer Health
- Provide strategic advice to line manager so that they have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
- Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost‑effective operations and market development activities
- Ensure IQVIA company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with clients, business partners and authorities
- Oversee the company’s financial performance
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of team, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
- Act as one of the public speakers and public relations representatives of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
- Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure client objectives met, financial targets met, people are motivated and fulfilled in their roles
- Build client/customer confidence based on personal reputation and expertise to gain referrals, references and valuable introductions
- Drive thought leadership with senior client executives to strategically and systematically evaluate emerging and longer‑term opportunities
- Advocate the importance of talent development and drive clear strategic direction which is inclusive of people and organisational needs
- Drive a diverse and collaborative working culture which encourages openness, approachability and is supportive of challenge however uncomfortable. Establish a climate of teamwork, championing the need for recognition
- Provide opportunity by developing robust succession plans across the business
- Seek out and facilitate the introduction of innovative business models, systems and approaches to deliver greater commerciality and sustainability
- Drive and deliver a world‑class culture that emphasises continuous improvement, efficiency and value for money
- Remain aware of the organisational objectives and monitor current developments and trends that may affect implementation of organisational direction, programs or plans
- Help others understand the strategic goals of the organisation and how their work relates to these through regular company updates
- Develop and execute the short‑ and long‑term operating plans and strategies for the segment and ensure consistency with corporate and regional objectives
- Generate new business by facilitating meetings/presentations and overseeing client proposals
- Responsible for overall satisfaction of clients
Professional Competencies – Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A proven record of success in senior level general or commercial management, preferably in a related industry.
- At least 10 years’ senior level experience of management of people and resources.
- Graduate level of intellect preferably with a higher degree in a management discipline or a professional qualification.
- A wide knowledge of the Consumer Health industry and known and respected in the industry.
- An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
- Political and presentational skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting statutory requirements.
- A very high level of commercial awareness.
