Job Description:
Trust Junior Doctor in Cardiology
Fixed Term 12 months with commencement as early as 5th August 2026.
Applications are welcome for the Cardiology Trust Junior Doctor (SHO grade). The post holder will be expected to provide cover to the 42‑bed cardiology ward and the 8‑bed Coronary Care Unit at Northwick Park Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients admitted to the Cardiology department under the direct supervision of a registrar and consultant.
- Provide consistent support to the registrars and consultants, covering the ward and coronary care unit.
- Participate in audits and present at clinical governance meetings to gain experience across wider teams and specialties.
- Progress through the MRCP or FRCA examinations (PACES teaching will be provided).
- Maintain full educational and clinical supervision within the training post.
Qualifications
- MBBS (or equivalent).
- Full registration with the GMC.
- Prior NHS (UK) experience.
- Eligibility for GMC registration (written confirmation required for equivalent qualifications or experience).
